Less than a week before my wedding, I was admitted to The Woman’s Hospital with a kidney stone. I was in so much pain! When The Woman’s Hospital Chaplain found out that I was not going to get out of the hospital in time for the wedding; he worked with my family and all of the nurses to bring the wedding to me.
The chaplain arranged for a room and the nurses were so excited. They made what could have been a huge disappointment, into one of the most special times of my life. It was all about us and the nurses and physicians made everything memorable.
My family, the florist, the photographer and the caterer recreated my wedding at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. They wheeled me downstairs in my wedding dress and one of the nurses removed my I.V. for a few moments so I could walk down the aisle and get married.
I was so very happy that day. When they wheeled me back upstairs, my family and nurses blew bubbles as I went down the hallway. They really love what they do at The Woman’s Hospital. And I was thrilled to come back to Woman’s and deliver our beautiful baby girl Ila this past December.
